Today was good to play around find a new sight. I kind of like the tumlr. It seems easy to use, a nice little blog and place to store certain feeds. I guess google reader is something I have used for a while put never got to organizing what I had. I did not realize about searching for the key terms and and then adding by the key terms to my google reader account. I had just browsed through feeds like NY Times ,Cincinnati Reds, Running TImes, basic things. I did not know that or thought about searching. I think the issue with google reader, tumblr in the classroom is kids remembering their accounts and logging in. These are all great, but they will have to remember passwords and the like.
Why would I use tumbler instead of blogspot. On blogspot I can add feeds of blogs that I am interested in. Why would I use tublr when I have to log onto another site and I already have google account and everything else I do is under the banner of google. That is a question mabye there is a solution, and I am sure google will figure out what tumblr is doing and add it to their site anyway. Is tumblr just so I have a variety a things, so I can see what my community is blogging in front of me. Well I could just subscribe to rss of the those people.
I think today was productive in learning these sights, but it asks the question what is better than what and how many things can one use.
The RSS is a great thing, and I love to be updated constantly. I use the google reader the most of any other feature on my ipod touch. You can sit and just scroll through the news. I see the google reader as good place to save information. So why would I tag it on digg or delicous if its on my google reader. I guess because that article will not always be there. I guess I am answerering a lot for hese questions myself. I just think a lot of what we are doing makes ask questions which is better.
