Well, chapeaux to me! It's "only" Wednesday, and from Monday to now, mit frustrations and lots of demands for HELP! from Paul and Julie, I've created a five-image VoiceThread including four photos with voiceovers and one text plus one movie with extra text, each of the five with titles, and even a kind of thematic bookending of opening and closing with a baby photo. I'm not at all sure I could duplicate this but I really should try before the memories vaporize, and I have an idea to try with the photo I took at the Louvre of the Winged Victory of Samothrace at the top of the long stairway because I use that image when discussing the question of "shape" using excerpts from John McPhee's Levels of the Game. I include a photocopy of the statue, but on my last trip to Paris I took my own photo showing it at the top of the stairs because its impact is so enhanced by climbing the grand white marble staircase toward it, looming larger with each step closer. So my still photo--but hey, why didn't I make one of my "little movies"??? Okay, educator's tax deduction: must return to Paris and make movie, educational materials creation--would be one in this sequence. Wellll, maybe not. I can't think of a sequential follow-up. So why not just show or photocopy that one still photocopy, end of story. For a next VoiceThread production, connected to my teaching, which I could link to for my online course in the fall (multiplying my media, yes [fistbump]!], hmmm maybe I could film my summer students Thursday, commenting on their completed documented essays, and with their permission, make a VoiceThread out of those to post on my online course site??? boy, wish me luck with that...
