NYCWP Voices

An unofficial social network for teachers in the New York City Writing Project

Hi,

If you must, go ahead, read my story, "Chapeaux," but have you heard that they're handing out nicely chilled Veuve Cliquot and winning Lotto tickets down on the corner? Only for the next 72 hours, though.

At the moment, two shards in the "Wedding" section promise you'll get to hear Hoagy Carmichael's 1927 original recording of "Star Dust" and Fred Astaire singing "I'm Putting All My Eggs in One Basket," but this will only happen if Paul helps me out. No pressure, Paul. (71.5 hours left to get yourself down to the corner for your flute and winning Lotto ticket in case it's slipped your mind already.) Alternatively, you can cut and paste the YouTube URL links to hear the two songs.

Otherwise, okay, it's in your hands, but you should know that all references to people and places are actual and intentional, and I'll thank you very much to keep this under your hat.

ha ha.
hat.
get it?

You've made good use of the program with all of the shards for locations (pics that will be added later). Thanks for demonstrating the perks of hypertextopia!
