This week, last week, and the week before has been a great experience. Learning about the internet, web 2.0 tools, and re-engaging with witting. I truly enjoyed the whole experience. It was a great time, a a lot of wonderful tools for me to use while teaching history. This will help incorporate history into the classroom and and on the internet. Learning about blogging and its tool in expressing views, feelings, and reflections about the world that we are learning about.

Again, I see when you play with something it gets to be fun. I found the twurl this afternoon extremely easy to use to post things. I took a video from you tube, pictures from someones flikr, my own pictures, quotes. I even went over paul's computer to record an mp3. That was cool, I never knew how to do that before. Today was good to play around find a new sight. I kind of like the tumlr. It seems easy to use, a nice little blog and place to store certain feeds. I am excited to look into creating a project using the tools that we have learned. On Friday when I was playing around I set up wiki page for my classes. I finally learned how to embed. It was cool. I enjoyed playing on the other features on the voicethread besides the voice part. I did not like talking into the computer. I guess podcasting is not in my future. I liked drawing circles on the volcano. I also liked seeing how i could upload powerpoint presentations I in class on this program. It might make smartboards overpriced an obsolete because you can do the same thing on this program.

Tired, the heat is starting to get to me. Missed the run yesterday will make it up tonight. Finished reading Kavaliar and Clay last night. That was a really good book, I felt it started out good, got a little slow and then picked up again. Buy about page 400 I could not put it down and by the time it ended I wanted more. This is the story of my day. Today I had my alarm set for 5 am woke up at 6 did not run my 8 miles. Then while I am sitting on the train I see green goop coming from the bottom of my bag. There must of been some stuff leaking from the train and then the cold water condensing on my water battle. My bag got all wet on the bottom. Nasty.. my books are wet and gooey. What can you do! Oh well!. I have to go to the dentist today that will be fun.

Twitter. I guess I have concerns. I see that you can get easy access to information. Share your ideas with the world and get comments back. But were is your privacy, can what you say get back to you. Have people got into trouble from it. What kind of comments are questions are appropriate on twitter. Already in the few hours we have reached twitter I have gotton requests from fuckthegasprices and someone offering me money. Sounds like a great place for shaddy people.

Good morning to the NYCWP blog post for the second week. I have been exploring the web this weekend on my ipod touch to get a feel for this "web 2.0" I played on facebook for severall hours checking out the applications and wondering how private our lives are know. I really like the idea of creating projects via the technology. Being at Portfolio school and not having to deal with standardized tests I can focus on one issue or story in history at a time. this day has been interesting. The hypetextopia is very exciting or fascinating. Yesterday I was lost but actually wrote something. It was kind of coherent. But my running memories story is going somewhere. I think I am actually writing for the first time in years. I am enjoying doing this type of writing. I have been dreading writing for years. Tired, today I was tired. I missed my run, woke up at 7:30. Had a peanut butter and jelly sandwich made my coffee and got on the train. The B going straight here is nice. No transfers, just sitting, reading the paper, drinking my coffee. I looked up at around 170th street and I was the only person on my car. Wow, nobody comes up to this part of the bronx in the AM. I have tickets to the Yankee game tonight, but I might not go. Anybody who is reading this let me know if you want them.

this day was long and I think I learned a lot. The hypertextopia was a struggle this morning. I missed the part about memories and was just free writing about the fire alarm. This messed up my morning because one can only write about fire alarms and fires for some much time. Over lunch I was helped and I realized I needed to start over so today I started my running memories. Kind of like the story of my running career how it got started, and stories along the way.
