Today I felt more productive with what I was doing. Creating writing pieces or poetry is a form of entertainment for me so I really enjoyed this morning's workshop. I can see as to why we were doing it which is puts all of the pieces together. Now that I have my account on Gmail straightened out, I'll play with google reader more today to get a better understanding of it. So far tumblr seems like a nice program to use, but it's public viewing is what bother's me a bit. I wonder if teacher's woul…

I thought it would make sense to start with several questions that's important to me have answered before our workshop is over.
1. My school uses Safari and Firefox on mac computers. Will these websites (hypertextopia, Voicethread) be able to be used on these types of computers and web browsers?
2. Our school has our own website, I've started a ning for my family group and would like to have it linked to our school website. How can that be done?
3. Is voicethread free? Would I have teachers si…

I'd have to say that today was the first time out of the whole time that I've attended our workshop that I felt so confused and out of sorts. This morning we used tumblr and I was able to use it properly, but I'm not familiar to how it will function with our school. I believe that if we use it further, I'll get a better idea on how to use it more progressively. I felt totally lost on google reader and even though I had my instructions in front of me, I felt the need to have more of a step by ste…

I feel fortunate to have taken this workshop and have ideas on showing the staff how they can use hypertextopia, voicethread, and ning with their classes and Family Group. It would take several staff meetings to intoduce the websites to them and I will use the projects I've created, show it to them on our projector, and urge them to play with the websites to find ideas that they can use with their classes. For instance, Voicethread can be used as a tool for Science PBA's (performance based asses…

Good Morning Everyone
I know you could have sworn I was having breakfast with all of you and all of a sudden you now don't see me there, but I am, just now physically. Unfortunately I suddenly became ill and had to go home. I'm going to continue working on the voice thread project today and check out today's itinerary to stay caught up. You should all see me tomorrow.

Last night I was looking for my poetry I've written to put it into my Hypertextopia and it seems that I'm going to have to wait until I get back to work because I have it in my lab's computer. I was so disappointed because I really wanted to work on that last night.
Well, I have my pictures ready and eager to start my Voice Thread project today. I'm going to try to do as much as possible for the project because it seems like there's not going to be much time to finish it.
It seems as if I real…

I jumped the gun this weekend by signing up with a new account on Twitter when I was supposed to do that today with the workshop. However, I have to say for the first time since I've been in this workshop, Twitter is the only website so far that I wasn't very fond of. I must be very used to communicating with someone directly online rather than just typing up a question or comment for all to see and wait for someone to comment back. Could it be that I just don't have the patience for it? As for…

First thing on my mind....I just had breakfast and I could sure use a cigarrette right about now. Yeah I know...it's not good for you...blah blah blah (LOL). So anyway, I spent a little while last night looking for photos to begin our new project this week. I also got to meet my great niece for the first time yesterday. She's only 3 months old. She's so chubby and delicious (smile).
I took some time picking out the right photos to be able to intrigue the viewer somehow. I'm not very prepared th…

I couldn't believe how many ideas popped into my head today on what I'd like to do with the site's I've learned. For Hypertextopia I plan on bringing in my written poetry and having it published online. I then would like to introduce this to my school staff in different variations so that they'd be able to use it with their students. The class that came to mind first is "HOY" History Of You. They'd be able to type their experiences in fragments and have a better view on how they'd like to share…

My story was published yesterday and I'm interested to find out other peoples critiques on the story. I am also ready to read other member's story on Hypertextopia once its published. I'd also like to see how creative I can be by taking a block out of the story and creating a new one.
In reference to our morning discussion, I'd have to learn more on how I could nurture or teach teacher's to nurture their students on using chatting towards classroom discussion rather than constant personal discu…

I haven't written in a while so I found it refreshing and inspirational. Using Hypertextopia was a great experience for me because I found it to be user friendly in a sense that I could toggle back and forth to each box of writing and type my thoughts down quickly and accurately without having to search a whole page of paper for what I was looking for. I also talked with Paul about using this site to type up my research papers and he said that it is in fact used for this type of resource also. I…

My story is done, published and on the internet for everyone to see. It's so cool. I'm thinking of writing more stuff or adding some of my poetry on it on a later date. However, Paul and Julie, I'd like to ask you more questions about that before posting my past poetry on this site. It's pretty amazing how time fly's when your online. See everyone tomorrow.

I spent last night thinking about the story I wrote yesterday. I haven't written in a while so I found it refreshing and inspirational. I'm eager to continue working on it today and more eager to have it published and have other's read it. I'm also interested in reading other people's work in the group because it will help me get to know them better.

This morning I felt a little groggy, but then I normally do because I've never been much of a morning person. However, I did come in feeling eager to learn something new that I would be able to incorporate to my students in September. It's obvious that we seem a little shy right now that we are just getting to know each other, but that's ok. It's normal. I found that the exploration process in the afternoon was a lot more enjoyable because it enabled me to create a blog for my Family Group. It's…
