Very funny and a great balance of tone - bitter sweet and appreciative, funny and seriousness. I like how you ended it from the grown perspective too. I also like the descriptive language and the use of sound words throughout.

Expository Writing Piece

This piece is the beginning of a collection of reflections on my teaching practice. I use Linda Christensen's Reading, Writing, and Rising Up as inspiration for what my classroom can become in the years to come. I have been thinking of it as a "tool-book" for helping me to think about how I will approach teaching next year. Most of the writing was developed through free-write.
